July was a successful month for Aloft Australian Productions, with their Proof of Concept short film "Ode to my Brother: A Sherbrooke Down story" winning both the monthly Best Short Film categories at the London Movie Awards and Hollywood Movie Awards.

The historically based short film was adapted from a scene from the Sherbrooke Down: Valley of Tears feature film script and serves as a tribute to Illawarra coal mining history, which plays a part as pivotal backdrop to a compelling narrative drama about two very strong women during the Australia's Federation period.
